Questions, answered honestly
How does attribution work?
A first-party cookie stores the referral code, and merchants pass it into Stripe Checkout as client_reference_id or metadata. We reconcile against Stripe webhooks and the invoice history, so every commission traces back to a real paid invoice.
Do you cap referred revenue?
Never. Plans limit operational drivers like the number of programs and active affiliates, but we never tax the revenue your partners drive.
What about Safari's cookie limits?
Client-set cookies are capped to roughly 7 days by Safari's tracking prevention. The fix is passing the referral code server-side into Checkout, which our docs show step by step. We're honest about this rather than pretending it doesn't exist.
Can affiliates create a separate link per piece of content?
Yes — that's our wedge. A creator can make one link for a YouTube video, another for a newsletter, another for a GitHub README, and see which content actually converts.
